KINGSPORT — The Kingsport Chamber’s Vanessa Bennett was recently announced as this year’s Tennessee Chamber of Commerce Executives Chamber Professional of the Year.
According to a recent release, Bennett was presented the award last week at the TCCE Annual Conference in Savannah, Tennessee. She was presented the award by TCCE President DeLaney Martin from the Hardin County Chamber and Tammi Ford of Blount Partnership.
“Vanessa’s dedication, leadership and vision have strengthened not only Your Kingsport Chamber, but also the community we serve,†Miles Burdine, president and CEO of the Kingsport Chamber, said in the release. “We are very proud to see her receive this well-deserved recognition.â€
The award “recognizes an outstanding chamber professional who has significantly advanced the mission of the chamber of commerce and serves as a role model in the community,†the release states. Nominees are evaluated based on achievements, involvement in TCCE and other professional organizations, program development and community participation.
“On behalf of the Tennessee Chamber Executives, we would like to congratulate Vanessa Bennett for being selected as the Tennessee Chamber Professional of the Year,†Martin said in the release.
Bennett has worked at the Chamber since 2007. In her role as chief operations officer, she oversees operations, workforce development, the leadership and young professional programs, as well as health and wellness initiatives.
