GRAY — The annual Baby Show at the Appalachian Fair saw Tri-Cities contestants from ages 6-12 and 13-24 months compete Saturday, the last day of the 2025 fair.The show was on the Museum Stage at the Gray Fairgrounds off Interstate 26.
In the ages 6-12 months bracket for Best Developed, Charlotte Jones won top honors for the girls and Parker Ford for the boys, while Prettiest Girl went to Layla Hazhkostopoious and Beckham Tipton won Most Handsome Boy. Miss Personality was Lainey Wallan, and Mr. Personality was Hayes Doan.
For ages 13-24 months, Best Developed Girl was Kimber Jones and Best Developed Boy Arthur Sweeney. Prettiest Girl was won by Lilliana Hernandez-Nguyens, while Cohne Roberts was named Most Handsome Boy. Hadlynn Sheets won Miss Personality, and Traven Campbell Mr. Personality.
And in the twins category, ages 6-24 months, among two entries, Hudson and Hadley Balch won first and Madlelyn and Authea Kakos won second. However, the girls ages 13-24 months category was more crowded, drawing 34 entrants.
Three judges chose the winners in various categories, picking winners from locations including Erwin, Kingsport, Jonesborough, Blountville and other parts of the Tri-Cities.

Overcast to partly cloudy skies marked the late morning and mid-afternoon of the 99th annual fair, with parents, grandparents and other family member gathered in front of the Museum Stage to see if their their young ones won or placed.
Some of the 35 contestants in the 13-24 months bracket eventually got a bit fidgety in the humidity, despite clouds keeping temperatures at bay.
