LIBRARY NEWS
Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held Saturday, April 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, April 27, from 1-3 p.m. in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. Sunday鈥檚 sale includes a $5-per-bag deal.
Friends of the Library will hold a donation drop-off Saturday, May 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring donations to the library鈥檚 parking lot near the curbside pickup spots. Books, DVDs and puzzles are accepted. Visit for more info.
FOR ALL AGES
A 130th Birthday Party will be held Thursday from 6-7:30 p.m. to celebrate the library鈥檚 130 years of service. All ages can drop by the library鈥檚 Polly Peterson Room to enjoy birthday cake and hear 13 guest readers read aloud from beloved books. No registration.
FOR CHILDREN
Babies & Books will meet Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. It is recommended for ages birth-18 months and their caregivers. No registration, but space is limited; pick up a ticket at the Children鈥檚 Desk when you arrive.
Read & Romp will meet outdoors on Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the King Commons Natural Adventure Area. It is recommended for ages 19-36 months and their caregivers. The program includes music and shorter stories. No registration.
Little Listeners will meet Wednesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. in the library鈥檚 Storytime Room. It is recommended for ages 3-5 and their caregivers. No registration, but space is limited; pick up a ticket at the Children鈥檚 Desk when you arrive.
Snap Circuits with iCode Tri-Cities will be held Friday at 4 p.m. in the library’s Jones Meeting Center. Ages 8-12 will learn about Snap Circuits, a creative STEM coding product, from iCode Tri-Cities instructors in a fun, hands-on class. Registration is required at .
Bilingual Storytime will meet Saturday, May 3, at 11 a.m. in the library鈥檚 Storytime Room. Stories are presented in English and Spanish. The program is recommended for ages 2-6 and their families. No registration.
FOR TEENS
Teen Homework Cafe will be held Monday from 3-5 p.m. in the library鈥檚 Teen Space. Ages 12-18 can work on their homework. Library staff are available to help find research materials, and snacks are provided. No registration.
Teen & Tween Book Club will meet Monday at 6 p.m. in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. Ages 10-16 will discuss 鈥淕regor the Overlander鈥 by Suzanne Collins and do a terrarium craft. The first 10 people who register will get a free copy of the book to keep. Registration is required at .
Teen Advisory Board will meet Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. in the library鈥檚 Teen Space. Ages 12-18 on TAB provide input for the library鈥檚 teen programs and services. Call 423-434-4349 to learn more.
FOR ADULTS
Spanish at Your Library will meet Thursday at 6 p.m. Anyone ages 18 and older can join the conversation group to practice Spanish language. All skill levels are welcome. The group meets in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. No registration.
