LIBRARY NEWS
Friends of the Library will hold a donation drop-off Saturday, April 12, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Bring donations to the library鈥檚 parking lot near the curbside pickup spots. Books, DVDs and puzzles will be accepted. Visit for more information.
FOR CHILDREN
READing Paws will be held Monday from 4-5 p.m. Ages 5-10 can be registered for a private 15-minute time slot to read to a trained listening dog in the library’s Storytime Room. Registration is required at .
Babies & Books meets Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. It is recommended for ages birth-18 months and their caregivers. No registration, but space is limited; pick up a ticket at the Children鈥檚 Desk when you arrive.
Read & Romp meets Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the King Commons Natural Adventure Area across the street from the library. It is recommended for ages 19-36 months and their caregivers. The program includes music and shorter stories. No registration.
Little Listeners meets Wednesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. in the library鈥檚 Storytime Room. It is recommended for ages 3-5 and their caregivers. No registration, but space is limited; pick up a ticket at the Children鈥檚 Desk when you arrive.
Little Musicians meets Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. Ages 3-5 learn about music from 黑料视频 Symphony Orchestra members. No registration.
Art Explorers meets Friday at 4 p.m. in the library’s Jones Meeting Center. Ages 8-12 learn about an art style and a famous artist from history, then create their own artwork in the featured style. Registration is required at .
Building with the Lions will be held Saturday, April 12, from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Kids of all ages and families can drop by the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center to build with Legos and other materials. No registration.
FOR TEENS
Teen Homework Cafe will be held Monday from 3-5 p.m. in the library鈥檚 Teen Space. Ages 12-18 can work on their homework. Library staff will be available to help find research materials, and snacks will be provided. No registration.
FOR ADULTS
Living Greener will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. Ages 18 and older will learn practical tips for creating eco-friendly habits from Appalachian Resource Conservation and Development Council鈥檚 Ashley Cavender. Registration is required at .
Spanish at Your Library meets Thursday at 6 p.m. Anyone ages 18 and older can join the conversation group to practice Spanish language. All skill levels are welcome. The group meets in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. No registration.
Fiber Arts Group meets Friday from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Ages 18 and older can bring a knitting, crocheting, weaving or sewing project to work on in the library鈥檚 Jones Meeting Center. No registration.
