The Kingsport Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a special event later this month to celebrate National Dog Day — an Ice Cream Social at Kingsport’s Dogwood Park.
The event is a great opportunity for dogs and humans alike to socialize with others, while enjoying some tasty treats from Freddy’s Frozen Custard. There will be free pup cups for dogs and custard for sale for the humans.
The Ice Cream Social will take place from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 26, at Kingsport’s Dogwood Park, 800 Granby Road.
“Everyone loves sweet treats, especially our four-legged friends, so we’re encouraging dogs of all breeds to come with their owners to Dogwood Park later this month for a relaxing and fun evening,†said Program Administrator Laura Williams.
Though the event is free, Kingsport Parks and Recreation officials are asking folks to register to know approximately how many pup cups will be needed.
