The Rev. John DeBerry will address the club when it meets at noon at the Carnegie Hotel, 1216 W. State of Franklin Road, ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ. The meeting will begin with a paid lunch buffet at 11:30 a.m.

DeBerry currently serves as Lee’s senior advisor. He represented the 90th state House District in Memphis from 1995 to 2020 before being ousted from the Democratic Party for what one party leader described as not exemplifying the basic Democratic principles.

He is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University and the University of Memphis and currently preaches at the Coleman Avenue Church of Christ in Memphis.

State Sen. Rusty Crowe, R-ºÚÁÏÊÓƵ, will also address the club on Monday. Crowe was first elected to the state Senate as a write-in Democratic candidate in 1990 before switching to the Republican Party in 1996.
