The 黑料视频 Police Department promoted one of their officers to lieutenant.
On Friday afternoon, JCPD Chief Billy Church announced the promotion of Sgt. Nathan Carman during a ceremony at JCPD headquarters.
鈥淥fficer Carman has consistently demonstrated outstanding leadership, integrity and teamwork and has earned the respect of both his peers and the public,鈥 said Church. 鈥淎s a lieutenant, I am confident he will continue to set the standard for excellence. This promotion reflects his commitment to law enforcement and his deep connection to the community we serve.鈥
According to a press release, Carman is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a degree in criminal justice, serving with the JCPD since June 2013. In his time of service, he has served as a patrol officer, a downtown officer and an investigator.
鈥淚鈥檝e been truly fortunate to work alongside some of the finest men and women, both in this department and throughout our community,鈥 said Carman. 鈥淭he relationships I鈥檝e built over the years have played a huge role in shaping my career, and I owe much of my success to the people who鈥檝e supported and inspired me along the way.鈥
As lieutenant, Carman will oversee the JCPD鈥檚 Platoon 5, which includes Traffic Division and Community Policing. Along with this, Carman serves as a commander of the JCPD SWAT Team and oversees the department鈥檚 Bicycle Team.
