In a recent release, the agency confirmed Robert Farmer, 43 years old, was identified as the suspect of a reported residential shooting in Bristol. Farmer fired several shots from a handgun at the time; no injuries were reported, the initial SCSO release states.

By the time deputies arrived on scene, the release states Farmer had fled the area and was charged by detective with four counts of attempted second degree murder, reckless endangerment and a felon being in possession of a handgun.

He was taken into custody Tuesday at a Kingsport residence without incident and later transported to the Sullivan County Jail.
