Leadership Tennessee, a nonprofit that focuses on nonpartisan dialogue about state issues, has named a Signature Program class every year for over a decade. The cohort spends 10 months traveling the state to analyze challenges and identify concrete plans for solutions.

“I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this dedicated group of leaders, united by a shared love for Tennessee,� Hammonds said in a press release. “I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and working together.�

According to the release, the group was selected by an anonymous committee. Criteria such as leadership experience and a strong understanding of Tennessee’s current challenges were considered when shaping the class.

The cohort will travel and work from August to June 2026.
