KINGSPORT — Eggs Up Grill is set to celebrate its 100th location with an opening in Kingsport next month, according to a recent release from the company.
The new restaurant will open on Sept. 8 under the ownership of multi-unit franchise partner and Kingsport native Ken Bates. Bates is a former Little Caesars operator and opened his first two Eggs Up Grill restaurant locations in ºÚÁÏÊÓÆµ and Bristol with his son Ethan.
It will be located at 2003 N. Eastman Road in Suite 210, at East Stone Commons near McAlister's Deli.Â

According to the release, the Bates family plans to add four additional locations across East Tennessee and Knoxville in the future.

To close out 2025, the restaurant chain expects to have more than 105 restaurants across 11 states — with 25+ additional locations on track to open in 2026, the release states. Eggs Up Grill serves breakfast, brunch and lunch daily between the hours of 6 a.m. and 2 p.m.
