The mural will feature a honeycomb design section, with each hexagon representing a unique individual contribution. Participants will be provided paint and supplies by MadrPaints and guided in a “paint-by-numbers� style process to fill in different shades of yellow across the honeycomb.

No prior art experience is necessary—just show up and paint your hexagon.

“This is a great opportunity for residents of all ages to leave their mark on a lasting piece of public art,� Mayor Jamie Lawson said Monday. “We’re excited to see the mural take shape with the help of our community.�

The event will be held at the mural site near the Campus Drive-In on Kane Street starting at 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public. All supplies will be provided.

Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, get creative, and take time to visit Gate City’s local shops and restaurants while in town.
