KINGSPORT — Healthy Kingsport is inviting the community to attend this year’s Walk for Wellness Health Expo.
The expo will start at 3 p.m. Thursday, according to a recent release, and will be held at the Kingsport Farmers Market building. Attendees will be able to learn about and participate in activities to improve their overall wellbeing.
“At the Sullivan County Regional Health Department, we believe in leading by example and creating opportunities for our community to thrive,†Toni Lowe, community services director for the Sullivan County Regional Health Department said in the release. “Walk for Wellness is more than just a fitness event—it’s a celebration of health, connection, and empowerment. We proudly support this initiative because it aligns with our vision to inspire others to lead healthy lifestyles and to build a stronger, more vibrant community for everyone.â€
Along with a “festival atmosphere,†the release states the event will feature a mobile medical clinic, free medical items, a Healthy Kids Corner, Higher Ed Alley and more. The medical clinic will be able to provide lab testing, dental services and primary care services. Medical items like walkers, canes, adult pull-ups, over the counter medications, hygiene bags and Ensure dietary supplements and thermometers will be available.
Children will be able to enjoy carousel rides, mini golf, face painting, photo booth and inflatables, according to the release.
More than 30 vendors are expected to be on-site to help educate those stopping by, including American Cancer Society, Frontier Health, Greater Kingsport Family YMCA, Kingsport Parks & Rec, Mental Health Association of East Tennessee, Sullivan County Anti-Drug Coalition and UT Extension-Sullivan County.

The Kingsport Farmers Market building is located at 308 Clinchfield Street across from the Kingsport Chamber and in front of Food City.
