Late winter pruning, early spring blooming, summertime growing, and fall ripening, growing apples is a lesson in patience. As crisp mornings and progressively shorter evenings close in, apples offer a last taste of distilled summer sweetness.

One local painting hit the big time and will be on display in the prestigious Salmagundi Club in New York for the American Artists Professional League’s 95th Grand National Exhibition. The painting titled ‘Finding Freedom’ was created by local artist Cristy Dunn.
