Carson Peters has been playing the fiddle and entertaining Carter Countians since the he was a small boy. Peters and Iron Mountain return to their home turf this Saturday for a free concert at the Covered Bridge Jams in downtown Elizabethton from 7-9 p.m.
The event serves as a fundraiser for the 55th annual Jonesborough Days Festival, helping support one of the region鈥檚 most cherished Independence Day celebrations.
Free outdoor events are scheduled for Bristol and Pennington Gap in Virginia, while a paid indoor event is set for Kingsport, all before the Fourth of July holiday.
Sam Payne鈥檚 storytelling concerts will feature stories and songs related to the U.S.鈥檚 250th birthday, as well as personal stories intertwined with history and culture.聽
