The Blue Ridge Music Center, in partnership with the North Carolina Arts Foundation, Rivermont Records and music historians Tony Russell and Ted Olson, is honored to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the August 1925 OKeh Record Company recording sessions held on the rooftop of the George Vanderbilt Hotel in downtown Asheville by announcing the release of 鈥淢usic from the Land of the Sky.鈥

The 7th Annual Upper East Tennessee Fiddler鈥檚 Convention returns April 25 and 26 to Flag Pond, celebrating the region鈥檚 rich old-time music heritage with contests, workshops and community gatherings. With top-tier instructors, nearly $8,200 in prize money and a focus on preserving traditional Appalachian tunes, the event brings musicians and spectators together in the heart of the mountains.
