ELIZABETHTON — A Carter County man has been arrested in connection with the burglary of a local church. Investigators of the Carter County Sheriff’s Office arrested Douglas Lee Shaver, 36, of Elizabethton, and charged him with theft of property, burglary, and attempted burglary of a motor vehicle.
