Members of the Washington County School Board took a detailed look at the property of the old Jonesborough Elementary School Tuesday night.
The lab is a portal of sorts for K-12 students, prospective Northeast State Community College and students to enter a hands-on world of technology, from 3D printing to simulated plane piloting and computer-controlled routers.

ELIZABETHTON — The schools of the Elizabethton City School System, Elizabethton High School and West Side Elementary School have each been awarded a $5,000 grant from the Tennessee Valley Authority’s STEM Classroom Grant Program, supporting innovative science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) projects in the classroom.
The group next will head to Worlds Competition mid-month in Houston, following a regional competition in Knoxville this past weekend.
