After pulling even in the seventh on Tyler Inge’s sacrifice fly, Greeneville won the tiebreaker to break a 5-5 deadlock with Kingsport at Pioneer Park.

In what was supposed to be a doubleheader, the nightcap was postponed to Wednesday due to Tuesday’s storms in the area.

Layne Akers’ first home run of the year was a big one, a three-run blast in the fourth to get Greeneville (10-5) within 5-3. T.J. Adams’ RBI single in the sixth made it a one-run game. Mycah Jordan and Akers both had two of the Flyboys’ eight hits.

Colin Larson broke the scoreless tie in the first for the Axmen (9-7), hitting a solo shot to left. RBI singles by Larson and Kam Durnin in the fourth gave the visitors a 5-0 lead before Greeneville rallied. Larson and Durnin had two hits each.

The teams will try another doubleheader Wednesday starting at 5:30 p.m.
