Samuel Ervin White, 41, was found to have misappropriated client funds, failed to communicate with clients and charged unreasonable fees from the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility.

The disciplinary report states that White has been placed on two years of active suspension followed by three years on probation. He must also pay restitution to clients, cover disciplinary costs and work under the supervision of a practice monitor.

In June 2023, the Tennessee Supreme Court after finding he used funds for personal use and posed a “substantial threat of harm to the public.�

His license to practice was reinstated after a hearing panel of the Tennessee Supreme Court .

In July 2024, the Circuit Court for the City of Bristol, Virginia, to practice in the Commonwealth for one year for breaching rules related to diligence, communication, safekeeping property and improper termination of representation.
